A new report says that the iPhone 17e will ditch the notch in favor of Dynamic Island and will also feature a new design.

iPhone 17e to Feature New Design, Dynamic Island, Same 6.1-inch Display Size, Releasing Early Next Year

The iPhone 16e is similar to the iPhone 14 when it comes to design. Needless to say, it looks a little outdated in front of the rest of the lineup.

According to Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 17e is going to be different. Instead of having a notch, the upcoming smartphone will feature the Dynamic Island. That’s a good start.

In terms of performance, the 17e is said to feature the A19 chip. If the iPhone 16e has taught us anything, it’s that Apple is going to use a binned chip with fewer GPU cores compared to the standard iPhone 17 model.

When it comes to physical design, the iPhone 17e is said to look different as well. I’m assuming that it will feature the same rounded edges as the iPhone 15.

In terms of display size, the iPhone 17e is keeping the 6.1-inch panel, the same as the iPhone 16e. Only the notch is going away.

Interestingly, despite all these changes, the iPhone 17e is going to keep the $599 starting price point, which is not bad at all.

The iPhone 17 lineup is said to be slightly expensive compared to the iPhone 16, so the iPhone 17e keeping the same price as before is going to be great news for buyers.

Just like the iPhone 16e, the iPhone 17e is going to launch early next year, in 2026.
