iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 Beta 6 Now Available to Download for iPhone and iPad Over the Air
Now that we are nearing the final release of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Apple is releasing beta updates on a more frequent basis.
Apple released the fifth developer beta of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 last week, and just a week later, the sixth one is now available for download.
Usually, these updates arrive two weeks later.
In order to update to the latest version of iOS 26 or iPadOS 26, all you have to do is go to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap on Update Now when the new beta shows up for download.
In case you’re wondering, the new iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates have the following build number: 23A5318c
Given that the developer beta was released today, the public beta with the same build should be available for download either later today or within a couple of days.
If you’re interested in testing out iOS 26 or iPadOS 26, then you can either download the developer beta or the public beta. I will recommend the latter since it’s far easier to sign up for and manage.
Given the subtle amount of changes in the last beta, I’m sure this update will keep things down to a minimum too. If there’s anything noteworthy in this update, I will highlight it for everyone.
If you don’t hear back from me at all, then assume that this update only adds under-the-hood refinements and improves overall stability, which are far more important than visual changes.
