Instagram is launching three new features which are slowly rolling out for iPhone users, including reposts, Reels from friends, and more.
New Features Coming to Instagram Include Reposts, Friends Section in Reels, and New Instagram Map
If you’re a regular user of Instagram, then you will be pleased to learn that you can now repost a Post or Reel by simply tapping on the new ‘Repost’ button.

In the Reels section, you’ll see a new section called Friends. Over here, you’ll see Reels which your friends have liked or shared. Prepare to be surprised at what they’re liking and sharing.

Last but not least, and the most controversial one, is a new Instagram map. This is basically like the Snap Map from Snapchat, allowing you to share your location with friends, and a great way to find out what’s happening around you and what people are posting.

While a lot of people have been giving heat to Instagram for rolling out this feature, do keep in mind that location sharing is disabled by default, so just relax, unless Instagram decides to turn it on for everyone.
Instagram says that if your teenager has an account supervised by you, you have complete control over whether or not they can share their location on the map and the people they’re sharing with. Though this feature is not available in all countries.
