Apple has just released developer beta 5 of tvOS 26 software update, and you can download it right now on your Apple TV.
tvOS 26 Beta 5 is Now Available for Download on Apple TV with Bug Fixes and Other Improvements
Apple’s latest beta of tvOS 26 is now available for download on Apple TV. Developer beta 5 builds on the solid foundations of the last one and brings even more bug fixes and stability improvements to Apple TV.
In order to download and install the new update right now, all you have to do is follow these steps, assuming you have the last developer beta installed:
- Launch the Settings app on your Apple TV.
- Open System.
- Find Software Updates and open it.
- Now open Update Software.
The new update has the following build number: 23J5327g
When the update shows up, make sure you install it immediately. Once the installation has kicked off, you’ll see the Apple logo on your TV, and during this time, do not switch off your TV or do anything on the Siri Remote.
tvOS 26 primarily focuses on the Liquid Glass UI, and the new beta should bring some refinements to it as well.
Anyone can download and install the tvOS 26 beta on their Apple TV. You can either download the developer beta or public beta, it’s entirely up to you.
If you’re really excited about tvOS 26 but don’t wish to install the beta, that’s okay, because the final version of the software will be available to download for everyone next month.
