Developers have been enjoying the fifth beta of macOS 26 since the beginning of this week. Today, public beta testers can get in on the action with macOS 26 public beta 2.
It has all the same changes as the developer beta, which brings the software up to speed in terms of changes and features for everyone.
If you’ve been running the first public beta of macOS 26 Tahoe on your Mac, here’s what you have to do in order to download and install public beta 2:
Step 1. Launch System Settings on your Mac.
Step 2. Click on General, and then click on Software Update.
Step 3. As soon as you see the macOS 26 public beta 2, click on Update Now next to it.
Like any macOS update, this one is going to take a while to prepare and install, which is completely normal, and you should be used to it by now.
