The latest macOS 26 Tahoe beta includes an interesting onboarding video of a MacBook without a notch. Could it be the A18 Pro model?
macOS 26 Tahoe Includes an Onboarding Video of a MacBook without a Notch – is this the Cheaper A18 Pro Model?
This is pure speculation and you should take it as such, but it’s a fun one nonetheless.
With the release of macOS 26 Tahoe developer beta 6, Apple also introduced a new onboarding video for users.
If you have already installed the beta, then you have already seen the video. If you haven’t, and you missed the fine detail, then watch the video below first, courtesy 9to5Mac:
In the video, you can clearly see a MacBook without a notch. I refuse to call this a MacBook Air because of the missing notch, and I have this feeling this omission was intentional in order to mimic a real product.
Apple is a company that embraces its design. It does not remove stuff from marketing images or videos some might call ‘imperfections.’ Sure, it will try to hide it by using a dark wallpaper, like it did with the notch on the iPhone XS, but the above seems deliberate.
I think this is the rumored A18 Pro MacBook everyone is talking about lately. And with the notebook rumored to launch later this year most likely, the timing of this video is interesting too.
What do you think? Rumored MacBook with A18 Pro? Or an intern who tried creating a MacBook Air but totally forgot about the notch in the end?
