Apple accidentally leaked hardware identifiers in its software code, and it includes a bunch of cool stuff, including iPads, Apple TV, more.

A18 iPad 12, A19 Pro iPad mini 8, M5 Vision Pro, New HomePod mini, Studio Display 2, and More in the Works, According to Apple Software Code Slip

There is a ton of new hardware coming in the next few months, according to leaked code from Apple, revealed by MacRumors. But instead of talking about all of them, I’m going to focus on the things I find interesting.

First of all, the upcoming iPad 12 will feature the A18 chip, the same one found in iPhone 16. What this means is that the standard iPad model is getting a big performance upgrade and Apple Intelligence support.

This iPad is expected to launch in spring, which is quite far away from now, so go ahead and buy that iPad 11 you always wanted.

Apple is also going to release a new HomePod mini, and it will be powered by an updated S-series chip. Whether or not the chip will be S11 or something older is up for debate, but what’s important is that we are getting an updated HomePod mini, likely this year.

iPad mini will also be getting an upgrade. The only thing confirmed is that it will be powered by the A19 chip, the one that will power the iPhone 17, which isn’t even out yet. I’m going to assume that the design of iPad mini will remain unchanged, and it will be a while before the iPad mini is released.

The other hardware Apple is working on is a new Apple TV with the A17 Pro chip, a new Apple Studio Display 2, Vision Pro with M5, and of course, new Apple Watch models with the S11 chip.
