Apple Podcasts Lets You Rate and Review Shows, You Can Do it Using Your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
If you’ve found your favorite show on Apple Podcasts, then dropping a review and a rating is the least you can do to show support.
Recently, I found my favorite show too, and decided to give it a rating. Once I did that, I suddenly realized that it’s not a straightforward process. Hence, I’m writing this quick tutorial for everyone.
What’s not straightforward is that you have to do a bit of scrolling to reach the section where you have to leave a rating and review. And I’ll show you what you have to do in step-by-step fashion.
Step 1. Launch Apple Podcasts on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Step 2. Go to the show which you want to rate and review. You can either search for it if you like, or just find it in the Library section of Apple Podcasts if you’re already subscribed to it.
Step 3. Now, keep on scrolling down until you see the Ratings & Reviews section.
Step 4. You can either click or tap on the ‘stars’ to just leave a star rating, or select Write a Review if you want to drop your thoughts on the show and then select Submit.
That’s how you rate and review a show on Apple Podcasts.
I wish there was a button on top of the page in order to get straight to the Ratings & Reviews section instead of scrolling all the way down. But hey, that’s how things are, and surprisingly, it works well.
Do keep in mind, whether or not you leave a review or rating is entirely up to you. However, when you do submit one, it really helps out creators so that they know if they should keep on going forward or change some things in their show.
For the creator, it’s a great guiding tool, and for listeners, a signal whether the show is worth their time or not.
