A bunch of software updates were released, and those wondering where HomePod software update 26 went, don’t worry, it’s here and available for download.
The third beta of the update is available over the air, and you can download it straight from the Home app if you have automatic updates disabled.
Just go to Home Settings, Software Update, and you’ll see beta 3 of HomePod software update 26 right there.
The new software update will only show up if you have beta 2 installed. If you don’t, and want to test out the new firmware, you will find all the details posted here.
Just like any other software update, there are risks involved when testing out HomePod firmware. You can expect your HomePod to become unresponsive at times with certain features not working at all. That’s normal when testing out a beta.
Always make sure your HomePod is up to date, especially if you have a HomeKit setup at home or office. Latest updates ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible on a daily basis, especially when you’re away and want to access a HomeKit-compatible security camera.
