Straight from Apple itself, it’s a bug fix update and packs some important security fixes too. Nothing else.
If you were hoping to find new features in watchOS 11.6, then you might want to sit back for a while until watchOS 26 comes out later this year.
watchOS 11.6 is currently available as an RC update for developers and public beta testers. What this means is, the final version of the update will be available to everyone next week, but if you’re enrolled as a developer or a public beta tester, you can download it today.
If you’re up for it, you can download watchOS 11.6 right now as well. Just launch the Watch app on iPhone, go to General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Select watchOS 11 Public Beta from here, and you’ll immediately see watchOS 11.6 in Software Update. Tap on Update Now underneath it to start the download.
