A new software update is coming next week – macOS 15.6 Sequoia. Here’s everything new that is coming to your Mac.
Here’s Everything New Coming to the Mac Next Week with the Latest macOS 15.6 Sequoia Update
macOS 15.6 Sequoia is a big bug-fix release. Not only that, it implements a bunch of security fixes too. In other words, it’s an extremely important update which everyone should install the moment it becomes available next week.
However, if you’re wondering what the official changelog of the update says, you can have a look at it, thanks to the recently released macOS 15.6 Sequoia RC update:
This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.

Unlike the iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 updates, macOS 15.6 doesn’t go into too much detail into what it specifically fixes. For example, the 18.6 update for iPhone and iPad patches a bug which may prevent movie memories from being shared from Photos app.
Interestingly, you can download and install macOS 15.6 Sequoia right now, if you’re willing to sign up for the public beta.
Just open the Safari browser, go to beta.apple.com, sign in using your Apple Account, and then enable the public beta by going to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.
But, should you install the update today? Probably not, as it will be available for everyone next week anyway. After all, you’ve waited this long, so why not wait a couple of days more and download the update without involving yourself with the public beta instead?
The thing that’s bigger than macOS 15.6 is obviously macOS 26 Tahoe, or its public beta, to be more exact. That too is available for download if you want to take it for a spin on your Mac.
You will find all the details about it by going here.
