In terms of features, Apple TV is riding the smoothest wave there is, because it gets close to no new features once tvOS is released at the end of the year.
Same is true for tvOS 18.6, which focuses a lot on fixing bugs and improving performance of the Apple TV. If you have been testing the second beta for a while now, download the third one and make things even better.
In order to download tvOS 18.6 beta 3, you have to follow these steps:
- Turn on your Apple TV.
- Launch the Settings app from the Home Screen.
- Go all the way down and open System.
- Now open Software Update.
- Now select Update Software.
There is absolutely nothing new in terms of features in this update, but this new beta should make things relatively more stable than the last one.
If you have a smart home setup that includes a lot of HomeKit-certified devices, then the Apple TV is an extremely crucial part of everything as it acts as a hub to control devices when you’re away from home.
Latest updates like tvOS 18.6 ensure that the Apple TV is super-responsive whenever you launch a camera feed remotely, or you just want to control your lights, or any other smart accessory that works through the Home app.
