According to newly surfaced information, the folding iPhone is going to be very thin when unfolded and the inner display is in use.
Apple’s Folding iPhone will be Just 4.8mm Thin When Unfolded – Not as Thin as Galaxy Fold 7, but Very Close
Previous rumors have talked about how thin the folding iPhone is going to be. In fact, rumor has it that the folding iPhone is going to be around 4.5mm thin when unfolded.
Today, Instant Digital has jumped into the scene to share some information regarding the thinness of the folding iPhone, and they say it is going to be 4.8mm thin when unfolded.
Just to give you a slight idea of what we are dealing with here, the newly announced Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is 4.2mm thin when unfolded.
So, keeping that in mind, while the folding iPhone is slightly thicker, it is still 4.8mm, which is extremely thin, especially when compared to a regular smartphone.
While the information shared is interesting, take it with a grain of salt since we are pretty far away from the official launch of the folding iPhone. In fact, we really don’t know for sure when this smartphone will be released, except that it may launch in 2026.
But, we do have an idea what it might look like, thanks to a recently posted concept.
