In a post shared by Greg Joswiak, Apple has sold 3 billion iPhones to date, and the company has more exciting stuff in the pipeline.

Apple has Sold 3 Billion iPhones to this Day and Continues to Grow

Apple definitely posted some incredible numbers during its Q3 2025 earnings call. But the thing that immediately hits you from this day is the number of iPhones Apple has sold to date.

According to Greg Joswiak in a post on X, Apple has sold 3 billion of them since 2007.

The journey began in 2007 with the original iPhone, and quite frankly, despite its shortcomings, such as support for 2G-only networks, it changed the entire smartphone industry.

iPhone 3G fixed a lot of issues, and brought 3G connectivity to iPhone for the first time. That upgrade alone was massive since it opened up iPhone to a lot of new possibilities.

Fast forward to this day and Apple has the most solid iPhone lineup to date. But, the company isn’t done yet.

If recent rumors and reports are anything to go by, the company is going to launch its first-ever folding iPhone next year, alongside the iPhone 18 lineup. With that, Apple is going to dive into a new arena for iPhone.

In fact, Apple is rumored to do something special for its 20th anniversary model as well, and rumors say it is going to be an all-screen design. Though some reports say that might not be the case, but something big is definitely coming.

But wow. 3 billion iPhones sold to date are simply massive.
