Apple has confirmed that the upcoming macOS 26 Tahoe update for the Mac won’t bring iPhone Mirroring to the EU.
iPhone Mirroring Will Remain Unavailable in the EU Even When iOS 26 and macOS 26 Tahoe are Released Later this Year
The best Mac feature, in my opinion, is iPhone Mirroring. It’s a feature that allows you to use your iPhone right from your Mac, even if your iPhone is in your backpack.
Little do people know that iPhone Mirroring is not available in the EU, and Apple says this won’t change with the release of macOS 26 Tahoe.
In an interview with Numerama, Apple said that due to regulatory concerns, iPhone Mirroring will remain unavailable in the EU, even with the release of macOS 26 Tahoe.
Apple says if it brings the feature to the EU, local authorities might label the Mac as a ‘gatekeeper’ platform. Which means Apple might have to expand the feature to Windows or allow Android mirroring on the Mac.
If you live in the EU and were hopeful that things are going to change when it comes to iPhone Mirroring, this is definitely not good news.
