iOS 26 is going to ship with a new Adaptive Power mode for iPhone. But, it will not be available on every single model.

Apple is Limiting Adaptive Power Mode in iOS 26 to Apple Intelligence-Capable Devices Only

Apple is set to use AI to make your iPhone battery life better. It will do it with a feature called Adaptive Power mode in the upcoming iOS 26 update.

While this feature is great and all, it has now been revealed that it won’t be available on every single iPhone model out there.

Adaptive Power mode will only be available on iPhone models that support Apple Intelligence, according to MacRumors.

If you have an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or anything higher, the feature will be available to you. Everyone else will have to deal with Low Power Mode or regular modes.

Of course, the feature will be supported by the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup as well, especially the iPhone 17 Air, which is said to feature subpar battery life.

If you got excited that your iPhone 14 or older will be great with battery life, then you might want to dial down things a little.
