Apple has just released the second beta of watchOS 11.6 for Apple Watch, and you can download it over the air.

watchOS 11.6 Developer Beta 2 Arrives with Bug Fixes and Under-the-Hood Improvements, Download it Now

watchOS 11 now feels old compared to watchOS 26. But, since the latter is set for release later this year, we still have a few more months to go before we leave watchOS 11 behind.

Today, Apple is taking the watchOS 11 chapter one step further with the release of watchOS 11.6 developer beta 2. This update comes two weeks after the first developer beta of watchOS 11.6 was released.

If you’ve been testing out the software on your Apple Watch all this time, then developer beta 2 can be downloaded by following these steps:

  • Place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charge.
  • Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on Software Update.
  • When you see watchOS 11.6 beta 2, tap on Update Now.

The full and final version of watchOS 11.6 should be available for download next month. In terms of features, Apple is not adding anything to Apple Watch with this update, but you can expect bug fixes and other under-the-hood improvements.
