Upcoming Delta Camera app aims to bring the classic Game Boy Camera experience to your iPhone.

Delta Camera Turns Your iPhone into the Classic Game Boy Camera, Allowing You to Shoot Pixelated, Black and White Photos

If you remember the Game Boy, then you definitely remember the camera accessory for it. Sure, it didn’t take groundbreaking photos, but a camera on a Game Boy was simply an insane idea.

While the Game Boy Camera is a part of history, but the developer behind the Delta game emulator for iPhone and iPad seeks to revive it with a brand-new app called Delta Camera.

Once installed and launched on iPhone, you’ll see the usual Game Boy controls on the screen, and the display turns into a viewfinder for taking photos. And yes, it takes photos exactly how a real Game Boy would with the Camera accessory connected – pixelated, in black and white.

However, the developer gave the app a modern touch as well and ensures that it works best with iPhones. This means manual exposure and zoom control can be expected here as well as support for Camera Control if you have the latest iPhone 16.

While this sounds fun, but there is some bad news as well. First of all, the app will be available to download later this year. However, if you sign up to Patreon, you get access to the app in beta.

These are the types of apps that make the iPhone super fun to use. I really can’t wait to try out the full version of this when it eventually launches later this year.
