Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak Give Interview After WWDC 2025 to Talk About Siri, AI, iPadOS, and More

Tom’s Guide sat down with Apple Executives Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak right after the WWDC 2025 keynote for an in-depth interview. Right off the bat, Craig dives into Siri and answers why the advanced version of it was infamously delayed.

If you’re into technical details, you’re definitely going to love this interview because Craig dives deep into the workings of Apple’s AI models and what went wrong that caused the delay.

I’m not going to spoil it a bit and leave you to it. Grab a cup of coffee before you hit that play button, because the interview is 45 minutes long:

I understand that a lot of people are disappointed with the delayed Siri features, even me. But if you heard the interview till the end, Siri had to pass a certain quality level before it could be shipped, and Apple needs more time with it.

However, if Apple still doesn’t manage to ship a high quality product in a year, then I’m not sure what to think or say about it.

One thing is clear: these things are hard to pull off, and AI available in its current shape and form isn’t perfect either. Apple is focusing more on its user base and what they expect from Siri, nothing else.

I’m definitely willing to give Apple another chance with the advanced version of Siri. If they’re confident that it is working great internally, then it offers great value to those who invested in an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
