A new leak says Apple is going to reposition the logo on the iPhone 17 Pro, but that’s not the entire story.

Apple is Going to Change the Position of its Logo on iPhone 17 Pro, But it Won’t Change the Position of MagSafe Magnets

The Apple logo behind the iPhone is a great reference point when aligning a MagSafe charger. Around the Apple logo is the magnetic ring, and you can see it on a ton of clear cases too.

It looks like this:

With iPhone 17 Pro, Apple is going to move the logo slightly downward and make the overall design aesthetically pleasing to look at, according to Majin Bu.

Now, you must be thinking, the MagSafe magnets and wireless coils are going to move with the logo as well, right? Nope, Apple is not changing the position at all, and instead, will look something like this:

Accessory makers have to design cases in such a way that they do not cover the Apple logo at all, which means they have to remove some magnets in order to keep the logo visible.

Interestingly, this isn’t going to be an issue with solid-color cases. The transparent case market is going to rethink how they make their accessories, and a special cutout in the MagSafe ring is the only way that ensures visibility of the logo.

A previous leak did show the complete MagSafe ring behind the case, but it’s now likely that they have to change their design a little.

While moving the Apple logo downwards is a smart move to keep everything aesthetically pleasing, manufacturers who produce cases ahead of time might not have seen this one coming at all.

I’m going to suggest taking this news with a grain of salt and seeing what more leaks have to say instead.
