Right ahead of WWDC 2025, the Apple ‘Games’ domain has gone live, signaling towards Apple’s gaming ambitions.
Official Apple Games Domain Goes Live Ahead of WWDC 2025 on the Web
Before you get super excited, do know that the domain leads to nothing. Point your web browser to games.apple.com and you’ll land on a page that is entirely empty.
But the interesting thing is, the link is not broken. It will likely be filled up with content after the opening keynote.
I’m expecting this page to be a marketing page for Apple’s ‘Games’ ambitions, nothing else. It’s clear that the company wants to emphasize a lot on gaming this year, but I’m not sure about its success at all.
I think the Games tab in the App Store is the perfect place for finding, discovering, and downloading new games. Apple must have a really good reason why it is breaking away the section into a dedicated space of its own throughout its ecosystem.
Guess we will know in a couple of hours.
