Tim Cook Says Apple is Working on the New and Advanced Siri, Does Not Want to Ship a Low Quality Product

Announced back at WWDC 2024 and delayed in March of this year, the new and advanced version of Siri is something everyone is looking forward to.

Some reports say it’s delayed to next year, while some say it will be released later this year with iOS 19.

At Apple’s Q2 2025 earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook had some information to share regarding Siri, and this is what he had to say:

With regard to the more personal Siri features we announced, we need more time to complete our work on these features, so they meet our high quality bar. We are making progress, and we look forward to getting these features into customers’ hands.

The thing I like about this statement is how Tim Cook admits that they did not want to ship a low quality product. Rather, they are working on improving it before getting into the hands of customers.

Tim Cook didn’t say when the new Siri will become available. But it’s safe to assume that it will be a part of iOS 19. But, will it be a part of the beta that is set for release in June? I hope it is.

Another thing I’m looking forward to is the potential integration of Gemini with Apple Intelligence.
