You can enable developer options in Safari for Mac and unlock a bunch of interesting features that may come in handy.

Unlock New Features in Safari for Mac by Enabling Developer Options with Just a Few Clicks

Apple has done a fine job with Safari, and the stock features are more than enough to get you through your web browsing needs on a daily basis.

However, there are some extra features that are hidden away for developers only. Thankfully, anyone can access those features as long as you know how to enable them.

In today’s tutorial, that’s exactly what I plan on doing – show you how to enable developer options in Safari for the Mac.

Step 1. Launch Safari.

Step 2. In the menu bar click on Safari.

Step 3. Now click on Settings.

Step 4. At the top you will see a bunch of tabs. Click on the one that says Advanced. It’s on the far right.

Step 5. Right at the bottom you will see an option that says ‘Show features for web developers.’ Click to enable it.

Step 6. In the menu bar you’ll instantly see a new entry called ‘Develop.’ Click on it and start exploring the new features you just unlocked.

The most interesting feature here is the ‘Empty Caches’ option. Once you click on it, it will flush the cache and fix a lot of issues you may have been facing while browsing the web.

If you really want to take things to the next level, click on the ‘Get Safari Technology Preview’ option. You can now test out new beta updates of Safari, allowing you to test out new features before anyone else, without having to install a beta update of macOS.

If you go to Safari > Settings, you’ll see two new entries there as well, called Developer and Feature Flags.
